Weekend Wrap Up

Last year in Chicago it was over 80 degrees for St. Patrick’s Day…this time around? 34 degrees. Oh boy it was cold. After a super long (but super awesome – I am a rock star) 12 hour day in the Emergency Department Friday I came home and passed out at 8 pm like the party animal I am. I woke up Saturday morning and ran the St. Paddy’s Day 5k in Lincoln Park to benefit Team Paws Chicago (my half marathon team! woohoo!). It was cold and started to snow half way through…but the route was pretty good and I warmed up eventually. I’m just glad I got up and got out there – I haven’t run in ages.

I stopped home and warmed up with a almond milk chai latte, and then headed back out the door to get to my Hot Baryasa Stretch class at Barre Bee Fit for my Spring It On 21 challenge. Who am I?! You guys – I am so close to finishing it! I honestly cannot believe I have come this far, and I am so motivated to work out each day. I really believe I can continue this after the challenge, and that was the whole point of it. I hit up Barre Bee on Sunday (and was pretty useless after having only THREE drinks Saturday night), and today I went to a late Barre Burn class after volunteering. THREE MORE DAYS TO GO!
